En materia energética aseguró que es «prioritario» planificar un mix de generación y establecer un modelo energético por lo que recordó que su partido aboga por políticas de ahorro y eficiencia, una gestión eficaz y sostenible y un mayor control público de la energía, así como por el cierre de todas las nucleares.
Mientras, Jesús Gómez Santamaría (UPyD) opinó que el mix de generación eléctrico español debería estar conformado por un 45% de nuclear, un 45% de renovables y el resto por térmicas porque la nuclear «ayuda a combatir el cambio climático».
