Protermosolar afirma que la única solución a la burbuja energética es «actuar sobre los excesivos beneficios que tienen las eléctricas»
El presidente de la Asociación Española de la Industria Eléctrica (Unesa), Eduardo Montes, propuso una moratoria para las tecnologías termoeléctrica y fotovoltaica de tres años, hasta 2013, en la que se sustituyan los proyectos paralizados por una capacidad eólica equivalente.
Montes justificó esta medida aludiendo a la escasa madurez de las tecnologías solares, a la contribución que a su juicio hacen al déficit de tarifa y al riesgo de que la termoeléctrica acabe conviertiéndose en una «mochila» tan pesada como la fotovoltaica.
Ante estas afrimaciones, Luis Crespo, secretario general de Protermosolar, afirmó que en los últimos tiempos han sufrido «una campaña de acoso y derribo a las centrales solares termoeléctricas por parte principalmente de Iberdrola, Gas Natural Fenosa y Unesa».
Según Crespo, las grandes eléctricas «se equivocaron en la instalación de 27.000 MW en los últimos años y en la promoción de otro gran número de centrales que se quedaron pendientes» de ejecutar. El motivo, para Protermosolar, no es otro que «su voracidad» y el no entender que «los tiempos avanzan hacia una generación eléctrica libre de emisiones de CO2 y al deseo de un sistema energético menos vulnerable a las subidas de precios de los combustibles fósiles cuyo impacto en nuestra economía ha causado tantos daños».
Para el secretario general de Protermosolar, las eléctricas «generaron la mayor burbuja energética que ha sufrido nuestro país en toda su historia y ahora están tratando de hacer de «su problema» un problema nacional cuando los españoles no tenemos porqué pagar los errores estratégicos de unos pocos directivos»
Preguntado sobre las alternativas que tiene el nuevo Gobierno que salga de las urnas el 20-N, Crespo aseguró que es «impensable» un intento de recorte retroactivo a los proyectos presasignados, debido a las repercusiones internacionales que tal actuación conllevaría. Asimismo, añadió que una moratoria, como la que pidió Unesa, «provocaría retrasar la paridad con las energías convencionales así como una destrucción de empleo y de ingresos fiscales de elevadas proporciones», al tiempo que se perjudicaría el liderazgo español para abordar mercados billonarios en terceros países.
A juicio de Protermosolar, la única solución viable es «actuar sobre los excesivos beneficios de las eléctricas derivados de la explotación de instalaciones superamortizadas y transmitir con naturalidad el mensaje de que quienes provocaron la gran burbuja de los ciclos combinados de gas deben afrontar sus consecuencias y no hacerlas recaer sobre el conjunto de los usuarios del sistema eléctrico».
