Las eléctricas redujeron un 16% las inversiones en España en 2010, hasta los 4.380 millones de euros
Según consta en la Memoria Estadística 2010 elabora por Unesa, de los 4.380 millones de inversión, 2.245 millones se dedicaron a generación y comercialización, un 21% menos, mientras que 2.135 millones se destinaron a distribución, un 11% menos. La actividad eléctrica en España procuró unas ganancias de 4.740 millones en 2010 a las cinco grandes eléctricas, apenas 18 millones menos que en 2009, si bien la rentabilidad de los activos (ROA) cayó del 5,6% al 4,6%.
El beneficio bruto de explotación (Ebitda) se redujo un 1,4%, mientras que la deuda bruta de las actividades en España se situó en 45.115 millones, de los que unos 16.000 millones están asociados a la financiación del déficit de tarifa.
En un contexto de mejora de la demanda del 2,9%, tras un 2009 de fuertes caídas, las eléctricas de Unesa alcanzaron una cifra de negocio en su actividad nacional de 23.169 millones, un 11,7% superior a la del ejercicio anterior, gracias sobre todo a la actividad de generación.
Durante el pasado ejercicio, la potencia eléctrica instalada en España superó los 100.000 megavatios (MW) y se situó en 101.588 MW, frente a 99.366 MW en el ejercicio anterior. El incremento responde a un aumento de 857 MW térmicos, hasta 43.173 MW, y de 1.145 MW en renovables, hasta 43.911 MW.
Por su parte, el consumo de energía eléctrica aumentó un 3% durante el pasado año, alcanzando los 260.000 millones de kilovatios hora (kWh), del cual una tercera parte, el 33%, se produjo con fuentes de energía renovable.
En este sentido, durante el pasado ejercicio las emisiones de CO2 se redujeron un 22% en comparación con 2009 y supuso casi la mitad que los gases emitidos en 1990.

Por otra parte, y según un informe elaborado por AleaSoft, la demanda eléctrica de España en el primer semestre decreció un 0,6% respecto al mismo semestre de 2010 y, corregida del efecto calendario y temperatura, creció un 0,4%, por lo que «aún no se recuperan los valores de demanda eléctrica anteriores a la crisis económica».
Así, AleaSoft prevé que para el total del año 2011 la demanda eléctrica de España sea un 0,01% inferior a la del pasado ejercicio. Para el segundo semestre del año, espera que la demanda eléctrica crezca un 0,61% respecto al mismo semestre del año anterior.
En lo que respecta a la demanda de gas convencional de España, en el primer semestre se registró una caída del 0,5% con respecto al mismo periodo del año anterior.
En el caso de la demanda, prevé que este año crezca un 0,5% respecto al ejercicio 2010. Para el segundo semestre de 2011 espera que la demanda de gas convencional crezca un 1,45% respecto al mismo semestre del año anterior.
