En las conclusiones del estudio se dice que el consumo energético anual en el sector industrial español para usos térmicos es de 378TWh y la superficie ST disponible es de 319 millones de metros cuadrados.

Por provincias, Barcelona, con 46 millones de metros cuadrados, Madrid con 31 y Valencia con 20, son las que cuentan con mayor superficie industrial total disponible para usos térmicos.
