Josu Jon Imaz sustituye a Alfredo Barrios como presidente de la AOP

Imaz es Doctor en Ciencias Químicas por la Universidad del País Vasco y
Licenciado en la Facultad de Ciencias Químicas de Donostia, y cuenta con una amplia
trayectoria en el ámbito público y de la empresa privada

Entre otros cargos, fue consejero de Industria, Comercio y Turismo del Gobierno Vasco y presidente del Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE) y de la Sociedad de Promoción y Reconversión Industrial (SPRI).

En julio de 2008 se incorporó al grupo Repsol, donde actualmente ostenta los cargos de director ejecutivo de Refino España y de Nuevas Energías, así como el de presidente de Petronor.

El Presidente saliente, Alfredo Barrios, desempeñó su labor durante los últimos tres años con una gran dedicación y esfuerzo, lo que fue unánimemente reconocido por la Junta Directiva y las empresas que componen AOP.

La AOP, creada en 1993 para aunar a compañías que operan en los mercados de refino, distribución y comercialización de productos petrolíferos, cuenta con BP, Cepsa, Galp Energía, Repsol, Saras Energía y Shell entre sus miembros.

AOP desarrolla su actividad, tanto a través de la colaboración y el diálogo permanente con las Administraciones, como mediante la labor informativa para dar a conocer la posición del sector sobre los diferentes asuntos que afectan al sector, afirmaron en un comunicado.
