Iberdrola entiende que Industria trasladará la previsible subida del coste de la energía a la tarifa eléctrica y Sebastián le espeta que esa no es una tarea de las eléctricas
Durante la conferencia con analistas para presentar los resultados del primer trimestre de la eléctrica, el director general de negocios de Iberdrola, José Luis San Pedro, aseguró que «nuestra previsión de déficit casi coincide con los 3.000 millones de euros del Gobierno, pero si la demanda de electricidad baja habrá un hueco y, por tanto, más déficit».
«Entendemos que el Gobierno va a cumplir los objetivos tarifarios siempre y cuando las subidas en el precio de la energía, que sí están previstas y se sitúan entre el 1% y el 2%, se transformen en subidas tarifarias, porque si no lo hacen tendrán que bajar los peajes» y con ello reducir los ingresos regulados, añadió el directivo, algo que consideró que «no sería razonable«.
Ante estas declaraciones, el ministro Sebastián, que clausuró unas jornadas sobre energía eólica organizadas por MCA-UGT, señaló que «no corresponde a Iberdrola fijar la tarifa eléctrica».
Los peajes de acceso, que representan prácticamente la mitad de la tarifa eléctrica, los pagan todos los consumidores y sirven para retribuir costes regulados como el transporte, la distribución, las primas a las energías renovables.
Asimismo, la parte regulada de la tarifa ayuda a paliar el déficit de tarifa, el desajuste que se produce cuando los ingresos del sistema eléctrico vía tarifa no son suficientes para cubrir los costes.
El Gobierno aprobó a finales de diciembre un Real Decreto para ahorrar en más de 4.600 millones de euros los costes eléctricos hasta 2013, que ampliaba a 3.000 millones el déficit de tarifa previsto para 2011, y a 1.500 millones en 2012. Un desequilibrio que se prevé que desaparezca en 2013.
