Endesa recompra el 87,9% de sus participaciones preferentes que valen 1.318 millones de euros
El pasado 26 de mayo Endesa Capital Finance acordó realizar una oferta de compra sobre todas sus participaciones emitidas hace ocho años por un importe de hasta 1.500 millones de euros.
El precio de compra ofrecido por la compañía ascendía al 100% del valor nominal de cada participación preferente más la remuneración devengada y no pagada desde el 28 de marzo de 2011 hasta la fecha de liquidación de la oferta de compra, que tendrá lugar el 28 de junio.
La oferta de compra de las participaciones preferentes, que cotizan en el sistema electrónico de negociación de deuda (SEND) a través del mercado AIAF de renta fija, se inició a finales de mayo y concluyó el pasado 21 de junio.
Una vez que se liquide la oferta de compra, el importe nominal de participaciones preferentes en circulación será de 181,3 millones de euros. Los títulos adquiridos se destinarán a su amortización.
La oferta no modificaba ningún derecho ni obligación de los titulares de las participaciones preferentes, ni de la eléctrica ni de su filial.
Endesa cerró el 27 de marzo de 2003 una emisión de participaciones preferentes, con la que obtuvo 1.500 millones de euros. Con esta operación la empresa tenía como objetivo reforzar su estructura financiera, mejorar su endeudamiento al tiempo que diversificaba sus fuentes de financiación a largo plazo.
