«No me parece que puedan ahogarnos así cuando luego llega final de año y presentan ejercicios con cantidades muy grandes de beneficios», agregó Barberá, quien lamentó que, pese al ahorro del consistorio en el consumo de luz, la factura mensual siga rondando los 1,7 millones de euros por las subidas de las tarifas.
Señaló que igual que amenazaron a la Generalitat con el corte de suministro, lo hicieron alguna vez con el Ayuntamiento e insistidó en que esa actuación de las compañías eléctricas no le pareció «solidaria», sobre todo a la vista de sus beneficios.

Preguntada también por la amenaza de corte en el suministro eléctrico de la Generalitat, Dolores Johnson confirmó que «no se produjo el corte» y justificaó que el aviso responde «a problemas de retrasos en el pago».
«Somos conscientes del retraso en el pago pero no hay ninguna situación anómala», sentenció.
