Miguel Sebastián afirma que el Gobierno decidirá este jueves si sube o no la luz en el mes de julio
En los pasillos del Congreso, Sebastián no quiso valorar los resultados de la subasta Cesur entre comercializadores de último recurso, que cerró con una subida del 2,7%, lo que trasladado a la Tarifa de Último Recurso (TUR) supone una presión al alza del 1,3%.
«No he visto todavía los resultados de la subasta, pero en cualquier caso tomará una decisión la Comisión Delegada que se reunirá el jueves«, señaló Sebastián, quien aseguró que aún no había recibido la comunicación oficial de los resultados.
De todas maneras, Sebastián ya anunció a principios de este mes que el Gobierno tenía la intención de congelar la tarifa eléctrica en julio, salvo que se produjera un resultado muy negativo de la subasta, así como que pretendía dejar inalterables los precios de la luz en lo que restaba de año.
«En función de esa subasta, el Gobierno tomará la decisión teniendo en cuenta la evolución del déficit tarifario, pero exigimos un esfuerzo muy importante en enero a los españoles y nuestra intención sería, a no ser que la subasta fuera muy, muy, muy negativa, no volver a tocar la luz en este año«, afirmó Sebastián en aquella ocasión.
El Gobierno ya subió la Tarifa de último Recurso (TUR) de la luz en enero un 9,8%, en una medida que fue calificada por Sebastián como «excepcional, inevitable y necesaria».
La anterior subasta, utilizada para fijar la tarifa de la luz en abril, se cerró con un descenso de precios del 9,43%, pero esta circunstancia no fue suficiente para provocar un abaratamiento del recibo eléctrico, ya que el Gobierno aprovechó para subir en un 10% los peajes.
Estos peajes recogen los costes regulados del sistema y tienen un peso cercano al 50% en la fórmula de revisión de la TUR. La subida aplicada de peajes de abril tuvo como objetivo contener el déficit de tarifa del sistema eléctrico, que se crea porque los costes del sistema son superiores a los ingresos.

Por su parte, la Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios (OCU) reclamó al Gobierno que «cumpla su palabra» y no suba el precio de la luz el próximo mes de julio, a pesar de que la subasta Cesur haya registrado un aumento del 2,7% en el precio de la luz.
La organización de consumidores recordó que en enero la factura de la luz subió más de un 10% para la mayor parte de las familias, que acumulan un encarecimiento del recibo del 50% en los últimos tres años.
Además, la OCU criticó la «absoluta falta de transparencia» en la fijación del precio de la electricidad mediante el sistema de subastas.
