La demanda de energía eléctrica baja un 0,2 % en junio, según REE

El crecimiento bruto de la demanda -sin ajustar los efectos del calendario ni las temperaturas- fue del 1,3%, debido a las temperaturas más cálidas que en el mismo mes del año pasado.

Por su parte, el consumo de electricidad en el primer semestre del año se situó en 128.183 gigavatios hora (GWh) en la Península, lo que supone un incremento del 0,4% con respecto al mismo periodo de 2010.

Durante el mes de junio, la generación procedente de fuentes de energía renovable alcanzó el 29,7% de la producción total, frente al 33,5% de un año antes. Es más, en los seis primeros meses del año, la producción de energía renovable representó el 36,6% de la producción total, mientras que en el mismo periodo del año anterior fue del 40%.

La generación eólica alcanzó los 2.877 GWh (un 11,8% más que en el mismo mes del ejercicio anterior) y representó el 13,4% del total, mientras que la nuclear cubrió el 22% de la demanda, los ciclos combinados el 22,6% (que fue la principal tecnología en términos de producción), el carbón el 12%, la hidráulica el 10,1% y la solar el 5%, entre otras.

No obstante, la demanda bruta de electricidad descendió un 0,7% durante el semestre, en el que el 19,5% de la generación se realizó a través de plantas nucleares, frente al 19% de ciclos combinados, al 16,6% de la eólica y al 16% de la hidráulica.

El 50,5% de la generación eléctrica del mes fue producida por tecnologías que no emiten CO2.
