Iberdrola lamenta que el Gobierno no suba la factura de la luz en julio
San Pedro realizó estas manifestaciones durante su participación en Bilbao en unas jornadas organizadas por la Fundación Sabino Arana bajo el título «Energía y sociedad competitiva y sostenible«.
En el turno de preguntas, el directivo de Iberdrola se refirió al problema del déficit de tarifa y apuntó que las decisiones que se adoptaron sobre política energética se hicieron, en ocasiones, «sin preguntar el precio».
San Pedro afirmó que, a lo largo de los años, se fue generalizando el «vicio» hasta llegar a un déficit que alcanza los 24.000 millones de euros. No obstante, indicó que el actual ministro de Industria, Miguel Sebastián, fue el «único» que puso este problema encima de la mesa.
San Pedro señaló que la situación del déficit de tarifa es «grave» y cree que, si no se aborda, puede afectar a la «credibilidad» de España.
Los accionistas decidirán en julio si prefieren recibir retribución en efectivo o acciones
Por otra parte, Iberdrola llevará a cabo una ampliación de capital de hasta 935 millones de euros, de acuerdo con la propuesta aprobada por los accionistas en la Junta General de la compañía, para hacer frente al sistema de retribución Iberdrola Dividendo Flexible, por el que ofrece a sus accionistas la posibilidad de obtener acciones gratuitas del grupo.
Según informó la compañía a la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), con ocasión del tradicional pago del dividendo complementario correspondiente a los resultados del ejercicio 2010, los accionistas deberán decidir, entre el 13 y el 27 de julio, si prefieren recibir acciones liberadas de la compañía o bien un importe equivalente en efectivo.
Para ello, el 11 de julio se fijará el número de derechos de asignación necesario para recibir una acción de la empresa, así como el precio garantizado que abonará Iberdrola por cada derecho a aquellos accionistas que prefieran que les pague la compañía en efectivo, con una retención fiscal del 19%.
Estos derechos de asignación comenzarán a negociarse el 13 de julio y lo harán hasta el 27 de julio, fecha en la que Iberdrola ejecutará la compra de los mismos a aquellos accionistas que hayan optado por vendérselos a la empresa. Se espera realizar el pago el próximo 1 de agosto y que las nuevas acciones comiencen a negociarse el día 3 de ese mismo mes.
No obstante, los accionistas que así lo prefieran podrán vender los derechos en el mercado, lo que no tiene ni retención fiscal ni un precio garantizado.
Iberdrola distribuirá, además, un dividendo ordinario también con cargo el ejercicio 2010 de 0,03 euros brutos por acción en efectivo, cuyo pago se realizará el próximo 13 de julio.
Los accionistas de Iberdrola Renovables, que pasarán a ser accionistas de Iberdrola una vez culminado el proceso de fusión por absorción entre las dos sociedades, a primeros del mes de julio, podrán beneficiarse tanto del cobro de este dividendo ordinario como del programa Iberdrola Dividendo Flexible (sistema que se puso en marcha por primera vez en 2010).
