Álvaro Nadal, nuevo director de la Oficina Económica de Presidencia
Al frente de este cargo, Nadal será el encargado de realizar informes y análisis económicos que sirvan de apoyo al presidente del Gobierno, Mariano Rajoy, para adoptar sus decisiones.
Nacido el 30 de enero de 1970 en Madrid, casado y con dos hijos, Nadal es licenciado en Económicas y Empresariales y Derecho y realizó cursos de doctorado en la Universidad de Harvard. Además, pertenece al Cuerpo de Técnicos Comerciales y Economistas del Estado.
Cabe reseñar que es el hermano del vicesecretario general de Asuntos Económicos, Laborales e Internacionales de la CEOE, Alberto Nadal. Ambos colaboraron en diversos cargos con el vicepresidente económico de los gobiernos de José María Aznar, Rodrigo Rato.
Durante la anterior Legislatura, Nadal se convirtió en uno de los nombres destacados del equipo económico del PP que lideró Cristóbal Montoro desde la oposición, con el cargo de secretario de Economía del partido.
De esta forma, participó activamente en la negociación con el Gobierno de importantes acuerdos en materia financiera que impulsaron la reestructuración del sector y, en especial, de las cajas de ahorro, un proceso que el PP no da por concluido.
Nadal sustituye a Javier Vallés al frente de la Oficina Económica de Presidencia, aunque este cargo también fue desempeñado por Miguel Sebastián y David Taguas durante las legislaturas de José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
