La demanda de energía eléctrica desciende un 4,9 % en diciembre
Si se tienen en cuenta los efectos del calendario y las temperaturas, el descenso del consumo peninsular es de un 4,9%, según informó este viernes Red Eléctrica.
En el conjunto del año la demanda bruta ha sido de 255.176 GWh, un 2,1% inferior a la del año 2010. Una vez corregidos los efectos de la laboralidad y la temperatura, el consumo ha sido un 1,2% inferior al del año anterior.
Este descenso es el cuarto de los registrados en toda la serie estadística, que arranca en 1959, y el segundo de mayor envergadura, por detrás del de 2009, cuando la crisis provocó una caída del 4,6% en esta variable. Los otros años de contracción fueron 1993 y 2008, con reducciones del 0,3% y el 0,2%, respectivamente.
Durante este mes la generación procedente de fuentes de energía renovable supuso el 34,1% de la producción total, 4,9 puntos porcentuales inferior a la registrada en diciembre del 2010. En el total del año, la producción de energía renovable ha representado el 32,8% del total, mientras que el año anterior fue del 35,4%. La eólica ha aportado un 15,9% del total, frente al 11,5% de la hidráulica, el 2,9% de la fotovoltaica y el 0,8% de la termosolar.
Del resto de fuentes de generación, la nuclear se ha convertido en la de mayor aportación a la matriz de generación, con un 21%, por delante del 18,8% de los ciclos combinados de gas, del 15,5% del carbón y del 11,9% de la cogeneración.
En diciembre el 54% de la producción eléctrica procedió de tecnologías que no emiten CO2.
